Rebel Wilson is 'unrecognisable' following 35kg transformation

Rebel Wilson has been very open about using 2020 as her Year of Health and has since undergone a 35kg transformation between now and then.

And fans and friends are all in agreement that the 41-year-old looks incredible, but more importantly, she feels her absolute healthiest.

"You look beautiful but I thought you were beautiful before losing weight also!" a third wrote.

"You look amazing! I recently lost 90 pounds [40kg] so I know how hard it can be, but so rewarding to feel more healthy," someone else added.

Mindy Kaling commented, "Beautiful!" while Brittany Hockley added, "Ummm ok 🔥."

Her Australian trainer Jono Castano commented with some celebratory emojis.

Some also pointed out the placement of her legs was a little funny, with one user writing, "You look beautiful Rebel but the tree in the background makes you look like you have a branch hanging from your crotch."

"That tiny bush though," another wrote alongside a laughing emoji.

"I can’t help seeing the tree leaves just sliding into the picture under your legs! Not sure if that was on purpose or not. Leaning towards on purpose because no matter what you lose, let it not be your amazing sense of humour!" a third pointed out.

It comes after Rebel revealed that her team didn't agree with her plans to lose weight.

"I got a lot of pushback from my own team actually here in Hollywood when I said, 'OK I'm gonna do this year of health. I feel like I'm really gonna physically transform and change my life.' And they were like, 'Why? Why would you want to do that?'" she recalled during an interview with BBC.

She added that she knew she needed to address her relationship with food, "I was still very confident being bigger and you know loved myself. I would rock a red carpet and was probably double the size and sometimes triple the weight of other actresses, but like I still felt confident in that.

"But I knew deep down inside some of the emotional eating behaviours I was doing was not healthy. Like I did not need a tub of ice cream every night... That was me, kind of numbing emotions using food, which wasn't the healthiest thing."

She went on to say that eating became her mechanism for "dealing with not being a natural performer and having to perform almost every day. That pressure and that internal stress to be able to perform like that."

Surprisingly, Rebel has previously described herself as "very introverted" to Stellar Magazine, adding that she would "reward myself with a block of chocolate" to cope with the attention she was receiving.
