Professional organiser reveals the Kmart items she would never buy

Kmart is usually the go-to for affordable organising solutions, but an expert has revealed three products she would never recommend buying from the budget retailer.

Anita Birges, who runs her own organisation company out of Sydney, has slammed three Kmart items in a video shared with her 71,000 TikTok followers.

According to Anita, the store's expandable plastic hangers are far too flimsy, while the expandable drawer dividers don't stay in place and float all over the place.

The final product on Birges' hit list is Kmart's glass canister with bamboo lid, as it won't keep food fresh. "They are not air-tight and the lids don't stay on," she claims.

Kmart shoppers weigh in

Many of Anita's followers agreed with her assessment. "I wish someone told me about the bamboo glass canister. My milo was rock hard when I went to use it," one viewer commented.

"I purchased 20+ of the bamboo lid jars for my herbs and spices. They are not air-tight and I'll need to replace them all," another concurred.

Others offered tips for making the most of the poorly reviewed products. "I used double sided tape on the end of the draw dividers,” one recommended.

"I used bamboo glass containers for cotton buds and cotton pads... no issues," someone else added.

Although Anita urged shoppers to avoid Kmart items on this occasion, she's proven herself a fan of the store several times before. In another TikTok video, she recommended the retailer's $8 file rack for neatly arranging cooking trays, and $10 wall hooks for hanging kids' coats and school bags.
