"In performance terms it was Harry who seemed to recognise his wife as lead star, gazing at her with eyes slightly narrowed to show pride but also performing some anxiety rituals like clothing and finger-fiddling as he watched her more powerful speech," Judi told the publication.

She also said Harry acted "like a bit of a rock star" on stage, whereas Meghan sounded and looked more "eloquent and passionate".

Prince Harry took the mic first and asked, "Are you ready to do what's necessary to end this pandemic?" with Meghan then adding: "Every single person on this planet has a fundamental right to get this vaccine. That's the point, but that's not happening. And while in this country and many others, you can go almost anywhere and get vaccinated, billions of people around the world cannot."

"Just think about the millions of vaccines that have been discarded this year. That's like throwing away life vests when those around you are drowning," she concluded.

For the occasion, Meghan wore a short-sleeved white minidress by Valentino, which featured white floral accents on its neckline, hem and sleeves. She paired the piece with minimal accessories, including a gold watch and bangle bracelet.

The was the final event for Harry and Meghan who have now wrapped up their first joint tour since quitting their roles with the royal family.

Their appearances in New York were the first time the pair had been seen out together since the arrival of their daughter, Lilibet in early June.
