Popeyes Desserts Offered Abroad Are Making U.S. Customers 'Actually Jealous'
Popeyes is debuting a new sweet menu item—but unfortunately for customers local to the U.S., they'll have to book a tropical island trip to get their hands on one.
In a new social media post shared by food blog Snackolator on Wednesday, Sept. 11, it was revealed that the fried chicken chain just introduced "a dessert option in Puerto Rico that could be incredible:" Biscuit à la Mode.
Per insight from the social media post, the treat "starts with their famous biscuit which is then glazed before getting soft serve on top with your choice of toppings." But it's the garnishes that make it even more enticing, as customers can choose from Strawberry, Oreo, Caramel, Peanut, or Chocolate drizzled—or sprinkled—on top.

The foodie insider did, however, bring up a concern, noting, "Now if the biscuits are fresh this could be pretty great - imagine the strawberry or chocolate chip biscuit with these toppings! On the other hand the ice cream is going to make that biscuit harden up so you need a fresh biscuit for sure."
In the comment section, fans poured in with their reactions to the new Puerto Rico-located release.
"A biscuit that isn't dry? 🤤," one salivated, while another admitted, "broo [sic] i got excited for a second," presumably at the thought that the offering would be hitting menus stateside.
"Im [sic] actually jealous omg," a third wrote, with a fourth Instagram user chiming in adding that the news is "Not fair 😿."
Meanwhile, someone else wasn't impressed, stating their unfiltered opinion that "All of Popeyes desserts are gross 😂 always reusing the same old nasty biscuit."
