Is This the Perfect Post-Engagement Nail Color? Selena Gomez Seems to Think So

Selena Gomez is on a bridal-inspired mani streak.

It makes total sense given that she's been in post-engagement bliss ever since her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, popped the question with a stunning marquise diamond in December. For the last couple of weeks, Gomez, 32, has been spotted wearing a sheer, slightly shimmery shade of pink on her nails, kicking off a chic bridal era for the star.

Luckily, the singer and actress' longtime nail artist Tom Bachik shared the exact color he's been using on her. The shade, Pink Whip, comes from his own eponymous collection of magnetic gel nail polish pens. The pen is currently available on the brand's website for $15.80 and boasts easy, mess-free application.

"Marquise Diamonds and Pink Whip💎💗🍦" Bachik wrote in the caption of a Dec. 20 Instagram post. In the accompanying photo, Gomez holds her hand up to a mirror to take a selfie, showing off her soft pink manicure. The nail artist concludes the caption with: "@selenagomez in her Tom Bachik Click Colors all-in-one magnetic gel. Color “Pink Whip”💅🏻 #nailsbytombachik @shoptombachik."

On Dec. 28, Bachik posted another photo of Gomez wearing the shade while holding what appears to be a cocktail. The following day, he shared his "last glam of the year" for the Emilia Pérez star, who wears a crimson ensemble and matching red lipstick in addition to her subtly sparkly light pink nails.

After Gomez's engagement, Bachik revealed the exact shades he used to create her manicure for the big moment: Chanel Le Vernis in Ballerina and Chanel Le Gel Coat. The semi-sheer nude color on short, rounded nails perfectly complemented the massive sparkling diamond given to her by Blanco.

"We simply wanted a beautiful meticulously manicured nail," Bachik told PEOPLE of the look. "We chose a fresh sheer pink to give us that high-glossed perfectly manicured look that evens out the tone and just highlights her natural nail. We kept her nails in a short, strong, natural almond shape completing the look."

Gomez debuted the manicure that morning at the Academy Women’s Luncheon Presented by Chanel. The star, who was nominated for two Golden Globes, wore a textured jacket that featured a white collar and cuffs and a matching skirt adorned with buttons.

Gomez and Blanco started dating in June 2023 but had known each other for years prior and collaborated on multiple songs. In December 2023, the Only Murders in the Building star confirmed their relationship when she "liked" fan account posts on Instagram of the pair, even commenting, “He is my absolute everything in my heart,” on one. The couple made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmys in January.
