One Paris and one Nicole to go, please!
In a new collaboration between Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and Sonic, the iconic duo get to leave their mark on the fast food joint with signature drinks. The pair — whose three-part Peacock special, Paris & Nicole: Encore, premieres this week — opened up to PEOPLE about their special beverages and revisiting their Sonic days from The Simple Life.
The hit 2000s reality show starred socialites Hilton and Richie, now both 43, as they navigated minimum wage jobs and everyday experiences. In 2003, the show brought them to Sonic, where they didn't stay employed for long.
"We were only there for one day because we got fired, but we had the best time" Hilton tells PEOPLE. "We ate a lot. We took a lot of lunch breaks."
"And the food is delicious," Richie adds.
Their new beverage menu, named Sonic Iconic Drinks by Paris and Nicole, has two drinks —The Paris and The Nicole. Each drink is $3.99 for a medium, and both are available for a limited time at Sonic locations across the country as of Dec. 9.
The duo's special drinks pay homage to Hilton and Richie's history with Sonic, the release said.
"It's a real full-circle moment for us now to have our own drinks there, to go back there," Richie tells PEOPLE. "Yeah, it's just been a very wild ride."
Hilton's drink is "fruity & fun and sure to slay all day," according to the announcement, and is made with Sprite, dragonfruit flavor, real lemon and lime, topped with whipped cream and Nerds. Richie's drink, which is "sleek & berry sweet," is made with Dr. Pepper, sweet cream, vanilla flavor and real strawberries, topped with whipped cream.
Their personalities are present in their drinks, Richie says.
"They are sweet, exciting, eclectic, colorful," she notes.
"Cute," they both add.
"They taste amazing," Hilton says. "And all that sugar can make you insane, and so can we."
