Octavia Spencer a ‘Good Sport’ After Sitting in Bravo Star’s Dog's Poop
The Academy Award winner received an unexpected "gift" during a visit to Charleston, S.C.
Octavia Spencer stayed in good spirits after an unfortunate situation with a Bravo star's pet.
Patricia Altschul, 83, posted an Instagram photo of the Oscar winner, 54, who appeared less than thrilled to have the Southern Charm star cleaning her pants.
Spencer looked both horrified and humored after she got some of Altschul’s dog’s poop on her crisp white pants.
“What not to do… Put your dog with a poopy tail on the sofa next to a famous Hollywood actress @octaviaspencer,” Altschul wrote, adding a few hashtags, #academyaward #goodsport #loveher.”
“😭😭😭🙏🏽,” Spencer replied in the comment section.

Several fans flooded the comment section with remarks about the irony of the situation in regards to Spencer’s Academy Award-winning role in The Help. In the film, her character, Minny, served her former boss a poop-filled version of her famous chocolate pie.
One user wrote, “Wait….remember her in the help with the chocolate cake!!! A little Ironic don’t ya think.” Meanwhile, another commented, “Not Minnie’s chocolate pie!”

Others remarked on a popular scene from Southern Charm season 8 when star Craig Conover accidentally spilled red wine on that same sofa, which retails for $45,000.
“Craig's red wine accident is now the second worst thing to happen on that sofa,” wrote one user.
Another added, “The poor sofa: First Craig with the wine and now the pups dirty tail.😜.”

One user also remarked on Altschul’s former butler, Michael Kelcourse, and his dedication to Altschul, her pets and her home.
“Michael would've never let that happen 😢," wrote another Instagram user.
Over three years ago, Kelcourse had an acute spinal cord stroke, which "caused significant nerve damage and impairment" and caused him to be paralyzed from the chest down. More recently, on Oct. 7, Altschul revealed that Kelcourse had another stroke.
“I am very sad to share that Michael has had another stroke,” she said in her Instagram announcement. “I am told that while he cannot read messages on his phone or Instagram, he can receive cards. His birthday is October 13th and it would be so nice if his fans would send him a card.”
