Nicole Kidman and Her Daughter Sunday Rose Wore Miu Miu for Rare Joint Appearance
They showed off nearly-identical beauty looks.
Nicole Kidman’s eldest daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, is already following in her mom’s sartorial footsteps, including raiding the Perfect Couple actress’s closet of iconic looks and coordinating with her outfits during their rare joint appearances. Case in point: Kidman orchestrated a chic mother-daughter dressing moment in Miu Miu as she stepped out with her 16-year-old mini-me at W Magazine’s annual Golden Globes party on January 4.
Kidman and her lookalike daughter inspired a double-take with their nearly-identical mermaid waves and subtle makeup, but they chose aesthetically different takes on suitwear. Sunday Rose has already cemented herself as a Miu Miu It girl, from making her runway debut at the designer brand’s show in Paris last October to twinning with her mom in dark academia-coded outfits after the catwalk.
And on Saturday night, she wore a light ocean blue satin set with a bra top and matching shorts from Miu Miu that showed off a hint of midriff. The co-ords were embellished with floral appliques and sequins for texture and shine, while ruching on the waist bands and bottom of the crop top gave the separates an unexpectedly sporty feel. Black sheer tights, a black blazer, and chunky black combat boots gave her look a street style edge.
Meanwhile, Kidman–who was part of the magazine’s Best Performances issue– made an entrance at Chateau Marmont in a Miu Miu power suit that looked like it was straight from the set of Babygirl. The Academy Award-winning actress paired an oversized dark gray blazer jacket with a mocha mousse brown shirt accentuated with a bright blue collar and cuffs. A pair of black slacks and pointy-toed burgundy heels with strappy details in front finished Kidman’s business chic ensemble.
The Hours actress recently opened up about how Sunday Rose and her other daughter, 14-year-old Faith Margaret, love to shop their mom’s closet and will inherit some of her most iconic pieces one day. "I've saved all the red carpet dresses. I have them all beautifully boxed. They're museum pieces," she told W Magazine about keeping her most storied gowns for when her daughters are old enough to wear them.
However, Kidman shared that the clothing exchange doesn’t go both ways. She added, “They raid my wardrobe all the time. I'm like, 'Okay, what's mine is yours.' But I don't raid their closet, even though I'm like, 'Oh, that's cute.' But I'm not allowed to take anything. It's a one-way exchange."
