Demi Moore Brought Back this Divisive Millennial Trend Just in Time for Awards Season
The 2010 staple has never looked so chic.
Demi Moore greeted 2025 with a 2010-era style flashback as she stepped out in a sculptural silhouette that was in every millennial’s closet. The peplum silhouette–a divisive shape once a staple for everything from clubwear to officewear–has slowly been making its way back into street style and red carpet appearances, thanks to fashion darlings like Selena Gomez, Katie Holmes, Emma Stone, and Sydney Sweeney co-signing its return. And on Saturday, Moore became the latest celebrity to make a case for the peplum dress resurgence as she stepped out in a flirty geometric LBD at W Magazine’s annual Golden Globes party.
The Substance actress alternated between menswear-inspired pieces and sultry goddess gowns while promoting her horror film last year, but she opted for a black-and-white Nina Ricci mini dress with a thigh-skimming hemline styled by stylist Brad Goreski ahead of Sunday’s Golden Globes.
On January 4, Moore looked like she was ready for spring in the whimsical number, which featured a black backdrop covered in a pattern of white geometric circles. Cinching in her waist with a structured bodice, the playful dress flared out into a bold peplum layer with pleats giving the fabric extra volume. A fitted skirt in the same fabric peeped out from underneath, while a pair of black pointy-toed Mary Jane Christian Louboutin heels completed her leg-lengthening look.
Moore–who posed at the Chateau Marmont alongside other W Magazine Best Performances issue honorees like Pamela Anderson, Nicole Kidman, and Angelina Jolie–paired her bold sartorial statement with her signature beauty look. She parted her long sleek black hair to the side and accentuated her features with a shimmery purple eyeshadow and nude lip. Long diamond earrings and rings from With Clarity brought some sparkle to Moore's pre-award show look.
