Mariah Carey has spoken out for the first time since her engagement to billionaire James Packer.
Chatting to E! News, the singer showed off the 35-carat sparkler James proposed with, and joked that it was 'hideous'.
'It’s so heavy I can’t lift my arm,' she laughed. 'Oh, the agony'.

The mother-of-two admitted she had already found her wedding dress, but stayed mum on the details.
'I’m very excited about the dress – but don’t want to talk yet.'
Mariah hinted that the pair are headed for the altar 'very soon' if 'everything goes to plan', and that they wish to have a 'beautiful but humble' ceremony.

The Hero singer also gushed about her new fiancé: 'He’s just one of those people who is always there for people and that’s a quality that I just haven’t seen... except in myself.'
Just yesterday the 45-year-old spoke about how she wanted to reassure her four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe - who she has with former husband Nick Cannon - that changes to her personal life won't affect them.
'I haven't talked to them about it completely because they are so young so they don't really understand things yet so you have to go slowly and explain things and always make sure they know that this is only going to be good for them. Their lives are not going to change,' she said.
