Naomi Watts couldn't help but rave about her good friend and fellow performer Nicole Kidman during a recent interview. Watts, who has been a longtime pal and supporter of Kidman, told British Vogue that the Babygirl star is "at the absolute tippy-top of her game" while promoting her upcoming book, Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I'd Known About Menopause.

"There’s no one higher," she said of Kidman, who was nominated at the 2025 Golden Globes for her role in the thriller about a sub-dom relationship between a high-power CEO and a young intern (Harris Dickinson).

Watts praised Kidman for the wide breadth of work she has tackled throughout her long, illustrious career. "When you think of the body of work, how many different things she’s done, and she’s so fearless in every single role," Watts gushed, before noting that Kidman has only gotten better with age. Watts commended her friend for hitting her peak in sexuality in her '50s. "And then, at the epitome of her sexuality in her 50s? I mean, power to her! Yes, it is extraordinary."

"And you know, every man, woman, straight, gay, you name it, they are all in love with her," Watts added. "And I’ve always known that she was, she is, all of that."

The stars' friendship goes all the way back to their audition days. During Kidman's AFI Life Achievement Gala last April, Watts honored her friend by taking a trip down memory lane. "Nic has always been the most generous person," Watts said in a speech at the event, per People. "She's opened up her homes to me, she's made me feel like a part of her family. She was like the sister I never had."

"Nicole is a brilliant artist because there's no limit to how far she'll push those boundaries of her art in the name of storytelling," she continued. "This woman has the nerves of steel and a heart of gold."

Kidman has previously opened up about taking on the role of Romy in the erotic thriller, saying she would experience "burnout" while shooting sex scenes. "There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It's like, 'Don't touch me,'" she explained during a panel at a screening of the movie. “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to [simulate] orgasm any more. Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it.’"
