Naomi Watts Praises Her 'Impressive' “All's Fair ”Costar Kim Kardashian: 'I Have So Much Respect for Her'
Ryan Murphy's upcoming legal drama sees Watts, Kardashian, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash-Betts running an all-female law firm
Naomi Watts is a big fan of her new costar Kim Kardashian.
In an interview with British Vogue, Watts, 56, opened up about working with Kardashian, 44, on the upcoming Ryan Murphy series, All's Fair.
Calling her "kind" and "hard-working," the actress said the Kardashians star is "a risk taker," as evidenced by her latest jump into acting over the last year, starting with American Horror Story: Delicate.
"I have so much respect for her. A businesswoman taking a huge great leap into acting. A new arena?! And unapologetically so," Watts said. "She’s impressive!"
Kardashian is not the only powerhouse woman Watts is working with on the series. Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts and Teyana Taylor are all set to star, too, and Watts told the outlet, "I just love the empowerment side of his storytelling, about putting this great group of women together and how they can not only kick ass, but take care of each other as well."
She described the series — which began filming in September — as "Dynasty meets Succession," offering the first insight into what fans can expect from the star-studded ensemble.
"I love the messaging about women taking care of women as well, not letting the patriarchy or misogyny squash them," she added.
Kardashian has also earned praise from some of her other A-list costars, including Nash-Betts.
"Let me tell you something: You can't say nothing bad about Kim to me," Nash-Betts told PEOPLE last month. “I will fight you in the street! Don't you say nothing about Kimmy Kim to me."
Describing her as "lovely" and a "girls' girl," the Grotesquerie actress said she loves her "so much" — even though she "didn't know anything about their family" before working with the mom of four.
“It was so funny, because when we first met, I met her and her mom [Kris Jenner], and I said, ‘I have to be honest and tell you, I've never seen your show.’ And her mother said, ‘Oh, thank God. We have a chance! Maybe you'll like us.'"

Kardashian is set to play a successful L.A. divorce lawyer working at an all-female law firm in the series, which was hinted to be loosely based on high-powered celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser during a May episode of The Kardashians.
During the episode, Murphy pitched the concept for Kardashian to play the world's "best, most expensive divorce lawyer" in a potential future show, and she was on board.

Halle Berry was initially slated to be part of the series, too, though she stepped out before filming began. In August, she told Entertainment Tonight when asked about the exit, "Things happen for a reason."
"I would've loved to have been there with those ladies, I know it's gonna be great. [It's] Ryan Murphy! I mean, you know, duh. But next time!"
