Musician's Wife Describes Rescued Pug's Incredible Healing Power
Some people believe strongly in the idea of soulmates: That one person in the world who seems like they are almost too perfectly suited for you to be real. They understand you in a way that no one else can, and are able to love you in a way that no one else ever will. Usually, when we're thinking about soulmates, we're thinking about humans, but many people believe that this can apply to animals, too. In fact, some call this having a "soul dog" — that special dog who just gets you from day one.
Now, it seems like one very famous dog dad and musician has found his in the form of their family's recently rescued pup, and his wife is sharing why in the sweetest video on Instagram.
When it comes to famous dogs, it's hard to reach the level that Doug the Pug is at, so if you've been following along with that adorable Pug pup and his parents, Leslie Mosier and Rob Chianelli, you probably already know that earlier this year, they welcomed a second Pug into their family, whose name is Dory. And now, Leslie is sharing what a difference this dog is already making in Rob's life.
Over some of the most adorable footage of Rob and Dory together, Leslie wrote, "when you realize your husband found his soul dog."
In the clips, these two are doing everything together, from looking at the sunset to taking naps to even playing the piano.
"I will protect her at all costs," Rob commented on the post. There's no doubt about that!
Rob's Journey With MS
In her caption, Leslie referred to Dory as a "healer," and that's because the family has been dealing with a massive change: Last year, Rob was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).
The family shared the news in an Instagram post last October.
"Rob had a horrible seizure out of the blue when we were in Australia and it alerted us that something was truly wrong after months of strange symptoms like vision changes, nerve numbness and loss of feeling," Leslie wrote at the time. "Lots of MRIs and a spinal tap later and we finally have a name to what’s been happening."
Since then, they've been sharing their journey on Instagram, which has included adding Dory to their family in May.
It's beautiful to see the bond that Dory and Rob have already, and I can't wait to see what's next for this adorable pug and her dad. They truly needed to find each other!
