A mum has shared a ‘creative’ Kmart hack that turns a simple toy into an ‘incredible’ item that kids will love.
Sharing her idea on a popular Facebook group, Amber-Lee White explained that she wanted to create something truly special for her son’s second birthday.
The savvy mum started with Kmart’s 30 piece wooden market stall set as a base, before personalising each stall for her children.
Amber-Lee used Kmart self adhesive book cover on the top bench and shelves before adding a custom sign for each stall.
Finishing it off with fairy lights, a colourful roof and a personalised menu, the finished product looked ‘amazing’.
Alongside photos of her kids playing with the stalls, she explained what she did to make such a fun product.
“This was one of my favourite Kmart hacks. Originally I only planned on completing one for my son’s second birthday but my kids loved it so much I decided to do one for each of them,” she started.
“Welcome to Mason’s Market, Poppy’s Patisserie and Archer’s Apple Pies!
“The 30 piece wooden market stall and all of the accessories are from Kmart. I used the Kmart white book cover to recover the top bench and the shelves. It’s certainly not perfect [but] my kids are so in love with it,” she finished.
It looks like Amber-Lee has also painted the wooden crates white to match the clean, crisp look.
The mum was praised for her ‘amazing’ idea, with group members keen to try it out for themselves.
“Oh I love this!!! How beautiful,” wrote one mum.
“Oh my gosh! This is amazing! Well done to you,” a second gushed.
“Tilda might like these…Xmas maybe,” another commented to a friend.
“Well done, creative, fun, love it,” added a fourth.
