‘Mittens & Pants’ Lands Third Run At CBC & Sky Kids; Peacock Picks Up Season 2
EXCLUSIVE: Prepare for more cuteness: Mittens & Pants is returning for a third run.
A new 45-episode season of the live-action pre-school show has been ordered by commissioning network CBC out of Canada, with Sky Kids UK & Ireland again onboard as a broadcast partner.

In the U.S., streamers Peacock, Happy Kids and Kidoodle.TV have acquired Season 2 from Thunderbird Distribution, the sales arm of Thunderbird Entertainment, and Canadian French-language networks TFO and Radio-Canada have bought Season 1.
The show comes from Toronto-based Windy Isle Entertainment and is sold internationally by compatriot Thunderbird. A total of 126 episodes have been produced so far, and Season 3 is currently in production in Hamilton, Ontario.
Mittens & Pants features best friends Mittens the kitten and Pants the puppy who live in the all-animal town of Kibble Corners. New to their hometown in Season 3 is a guinea pig news station, a rumbling kitten sports stadium, and a whimsical magic shop. It will also feature special Halloween, holiday, and musical episodes.
“Windy Isle and Thunderbird are doing an incredible job of baking discoverability right into their brand strategy, helping to grow the global audience for Mittens & Pants, and we are thrilled to order the third litter of this adorable show from Phil McCordic, one of Canada’s most innovative creators,” said Marie McCann, Senior Director, Children’s Content, CBC Kids.
On the digital front, Mittens & Pants has landed on the Roblox platform through a My Carrots simulator game, featuring breakout bunny character Monsieur LaFleur. There has also been substantial social media growth, with a combined 318,000 followers and 65 million views on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
“We’re so excited to see how much these characters have connected with audiences on a global scale,” said Mittens & Pants creator and showrunner McCordic. “The puppies and kittens — (and bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters — are endlessly surprising and delightful; it’s as fun a show to make as it is to watch.”
