All About Millie Bobby Brown's Massive, Single-Tier Italian Wedding Cake That Was Made on Site During the Party

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi served a millefoglie wedding cake during their May nuptials

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s secret Italian wedding in May included several outfit changes, Stranger Things costar appearances and an over-the-top wedding cake.

On Oct. 2, the newlyweds shared images from their three-day celebration at Villa Cetinale in Italy with family and friends. One particularly glamorous shot shows their dessert.

Brown, 20, posted the candid photo to her Instagram Stories, which shows her happily slicing into a supersized single-tier cake with Bongiovi, 22. The pastry is known as a millefoglie wedding cake. It's made with three layers of puff pastry and cream, and is topped with blackberries, raspberries and strawberries.

The final product is not just delicious — it's literally show-stopping. Millefoglie is traditionally constructed in front of party guests. Brown and Bongiovi’s caterer Galateo Ricevimenti (who also catered Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 2014 wedding!) followed the tradition and built the confection in front of the stars’ loved ones, according to their Instagram post.

Millefoglie wedding cakes have taken TikTok by a storm recently, with other couples sharing their iterations of the delicately designed dessert. In viral clips, the bride and groom are typically watching the caterers pipe cream and sometimes step in to add some layers themselves.

For her wedding, Brown wore a custom Galia Lahav gown with intricate lace details and a removable skirt. She paired the dress with a sheer veil from Monvieve with the same lace detail, and kept her jewelry and makeup minimal. Later in the evening, she changed into a satin off-the-shoulder gown.

Bongiovi opted for an ivory tuxedo jacket, white shirt, black bow-tie and black pants for the ceremony and party.

Shortly after the nuptials in May, the groom's father Jon Bon Jovi confirmed his son's marriage during an appearance on BBC's The One Show.

"They're great," he said of the newlyweds. "They're absolutely fantastic. It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be."
