Miles Teller takes dig at nominee Kevin Kline for being too 'enigmatic' to show up at Golden Globes
Kline was nominated for his work on "Disclaimer."
Kevin Kline's absence at the 2025 Golden Globes did not go unnoticed by presenter Miles Teller.
Presenting for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television alongside Anya Taylor-Joy from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday night, Teller made a dig at the Kline's non-attendance despite his nomination for his work in Alfonso Cuarón's Apple TV+ thriller series Disclaimer.
Teller began the introduction of nominees by describing Colin Farrell as "a man scorned on The Penguin" before getting to Kline and describing him as "such an enigmatic figure in Disclaimer he didn’t show up."
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to Kline's reps for comment on his absence.

Farrell ultimately took home the statuette in the category, which also included Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer), Cooper Koch (Monsters), Ewan McGregor (A Gentleman in Moscow), and Andrew Scott (Ripley).
In Disclaimer, Kline stars as English widower and retired teacher Stephen Brigstocke. The psychological thriller centers on a documentary journalist (Cate Blanchett) who has built a reputation for revealing the misdeeds of long-respected institutions. "I loved learning the idioms," Kline, a St. Louis native, told Jimmy Fallon of playing a Brit. "We shot for about a year. I became a bonafide Englishman."
His costar Blanchett was also nominated for her work on the series in the best actress category, though the win went to Jodie Foster for True Detective: Night Country.
