Yahoo Lifestyle Miles Teller, Casey Affleck to Lead Pursuit Thriller ‘Wild Game’ From ‘American Sniper’ Screenwriter
Miles Teller (“Whiplash, “Top Gun: Maverick”) and Casey Affleck (“Manchester By the Sea,” “Oppenheimer”) are set to lead the cast of pursuit thriller “Wild Game.”
“Wild Game” comes from Oscar-nominated screenwriter, director and producer Jason Hall (“Thank You for Your Service,” “American Sniper”) and is being launched at the European Film Market by Capstone. CAA Media Finance, Range Select and UTA Independent Film Group are co-representing domestic sales.

Adapted by Hall from the best-selling novel of the same name by Frank Bergon and based on true events, “Wild Game” follows Fish and Game officer Jack Irigaray (Affleck) who joins a routine poacher arrest in the Black Rock Desert. But a deadly encounter with renegade Claude Dallas (Teller) shatters his reality and propels him into a relentless questfor vengeance — one that blurs the line between justice and obsession.
The thriller is being produced by two-time Oscar nominee Fred Berger (“A Complete Unknown,” “La La Land”) and Brian Kavanaugh Jones (“Longlegs,” “The Bikeriders”) for Range, alongside Hall and Endurance’s Steve Richards. Teller and Affleck also serve as executive producers.

Added Teller, “I’m really looking forward to reuniting with Jason Hall on ‘Wild Game.’ We’ve had a great collaboration in the past on “Thank You for Your Service,” and I know he’s going to bring incredible depth to this story. Claude Dallas is such a complex and layered character—tough, relentless, and living by his own code. I can’t wait to get started with this team.”
The film is expected to shoot this spring.
