Michelin-star chef reportedly 'flown 21 hours' to cook for Taylor Swift in Sydney
EXCLUSIVE: MasterChef favourite Clare Smyth has reportedly arrived in Australia to cater for the megastar.
One of the world's most celebrated chefs has reportedly been flown to Sydney to cater for Taylor Swift and her entourage while the megastar is in Australia for her record-breaking Eras Tour.
A source tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Crown Sydney is rumoured to have flown internationally renowned Michelin-star chef Clare Smyth from the UK just in case Taylor wanted to dine at her restaurant, Oncore by Clare Smyth, while staying at the luxury hotel.
The ‘Cruel Summer’ hitmaker is currently staying in Crown Sydney's $25,000-a-night penthouse on the 88th floor, with her partner Travis Kelce flying into Australia on Thursday morning to join her.
A source tells Yahoo Lifestyle: “Crown Sydney is still relatively new and having Taylor staying there is the best publicity they'll get since opening. They've spared no expense, increased security and had staff sign NDAs to ensure her stay is nothing but perfection.”
The insider also claims that the chef was flown out before Taylor made a booking, but simply on the off chance that she would while staying at Crown Sydney. They clarified that this was at no request of Taylor or her team.

Clare confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that she had arrived in Australia and shared an Instagram Story saying she was “back in service with the team”.
She also hinted at Taylor’s potential booking at her restaurant by sharing a picture of head chef Alan Stuart preparing food while wearing friendship bracelets.
“@alan.stuart getting excited about @taylorswift concert!” she captioned the snap while also using Taylor’s song ‘Style’ in the background.
Who is Clare Smyth?
Clare Smyth is notably the first and only female chef to run a restaurant with three Michelin stars thanks to her restaurant Core in London.
She previously worked under Gordon Ramsey for 13 years and was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to the hospitality industry in 2013.
Clare is a personal favourite of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and even catered the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding reception in 2018.
She’s also made numerous appearances on MasterChef Australia in recent years, so there’s a chance she could be appearing on the upcoming sixteenth season of the reality show which is currently filming in Melbourne.
