Meghan and Harry reportedly 'wounded' by awards show snub

"They were up against some tough competition."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly feel 'wounded' after being snubbed for an award at the Emmys for their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, which shot to the top of the charts in 2023.

The show had a huge 81.6 million hours viewed but didn't receive any accolades, with both the couple and fans "100 per cent certain" that they'd receive something.

The snub has reportedly left Harry and Meghan feeling 'wounded' as they are trying to find more projects.

Speaking with The Mirror, PR expert Lynn Carratt said: "Meghan and Harry may feel slightly wounded by not receiving an Emmy Nomination, despite their Harry & Meghan docuseries becoming a record for the biggest debut for a Netflix documentary, reaching more than 28 million households, but they were up against some tough competition for nominations."

She continued: "Meghan herself is no stranger to missing out on Emmy nominations, she spent seven seasons in the TV show Suits which never received any prestigious Emmy or Global Globe award nominations.

"She was submitted for nomination in 2018 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her last season starring as Rachel Zane in Suits, but she never made the cut."

Lynn added that she believes the pair will now be looking to get nominations as producers for their upcoming film Meet Me at the Lake.

It comes after Meghan's Suits co-stars Patrick J Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres reunited at the Golden Globes, four years after the show ended.

Page Six got a comment from a Golden Globes insider, who revealed, "We asked the Duchess, but we were told that, unfortunately, she had a previous commitment."
