Suits' Patrick Adams left baffled over Meghan Markle rumour: 'She told you that?'

Suits star Patrick Adams was left surprised during an interview with E! News at the Golden Globes on Sunday when the interviewer asked about a rumour that his former co-star and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is returning to acting.

"We've heard all these rumours that Meghan may come back to acting, would you guys team up again?" Keltie Knight asked Patrick and his wife Troian Bellisario.

"You heard that rumour?" he asked, adding, "She told you that directly?"

"The truth is, is that we made up a rumour, because we wanted to ask you about it, and that's the truth," Keltie awkwardly responded. "But would you ever team up again?"

"I think Megan's a fantastic actor, so we'd be lucky to have her back in the industry," Patrick responded, adding of a potential project together, "Yes, let's go, I'll do it again!"

People were quick to take to the comments on YouTube, sharing their thoughts on the matter, with one user writing, "From the guy’s reaction, it is a rumour. It is obvious the cast don’t want to work with Meghan again. The cast obviously don’t like her. They don’t group chat with her. Period."

"Patrick was kind and professional," another added. "I am glad his character isn’t one to create gossip!"

"Didn’t know everybody hated Megan like this," a third said. "Her character on the show was amazing, everybody was crazy about her before she got married, and now after, everybody hates her. Would love to see them all back together."

"His partner would be a perfect replacement for [Meghan's] character," someone else added.

"I'm sure Meghan was very proud of her Suits co stars last night," another shared. "I'm sure she is very proud of the fact, that so many people are tuned into Suits again."
