Anything for the — and I can’t believe I have to write this — last season of Superman & Lois? –Lena
During our Fall Preview convo with co-showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher, it was revealed that “there is a pretty significant character from the comics that we were actually surprised that we were able to use — and it’s pretty soon in the season. You hear the name drop, then start hearing that name drop more, and then you see that person eventually.”
Any scoop at all you can give us on Criminal Minds Season 18? –Andrea
Ryan-James Hatanaka, as you surely surmised from cast Instagrams, is sticking around as Tyler Green, just as Zach Gilford is expected to be seen some more as Elias Voit. As for other returns… “I’m hoping to get Clark [Gregg] back as our FBI director,” showrunner Erica Messer told me. “And I’m never not going to want Felicity [Huffman as Jill Gideon], so we’ll see how we can work that in.”
Since Luke’s exit last season on FBI: International, will we get to see Tank in Season 4? –TPB
Sorry if the wait for an answer to this was ruff, but I can now confirm that Tank will make his Season 4 debut in the second episode.
Are there any upcoming job promotions in the final season of Blue Bloods, for the Reagans or any of the other regulars? –Charlie
In a word, no. When I brought your Q to showrunner Kevin Wade during our in-depth Fall Preview chat, he explained, “It seemed to me to be kind of a fool’s errand to promise something that you, by definition, wouldn’t be delivering on,” seeing as the show is ending in December. “Putting somebody in a new job, but you’ll never see them again? No, we just had them do the jobs they’ve been doing all these years and doing them, hopefully, as well as they ever did them.”
Anything you can share about NCIS: Origins to help with the anxiety of waiting until October 14? –Jessica
I hear there is a reason why Mark Harmon’s Gibbs, the prequel’s narrator, is sharing his story….
Any scoop for the Wynonna Earp: Vengeance special (premiering Sept. 13 on Tubi)? As an Earper, any tease will do! –Jenna
Brace yourself for one-and-a-half love scenes… some death… and a whole lotta very rude names that Wynnona and her latest foe hurl at each other.
Are Liza Lapira and Tory Kittles going to be back for Season 5 of The Equalizer (premiering Oct. 20)? –Angela
They will both be back, but maybe not back back just yet. Lipira’s Mel, as you know, walked away from Equalizing, but guilt will consume her as she sees McCall and Harry face unprecedented danger due to her absence. Kittles’ Dante, meanwhile, moved to L.A. to join the FTF, but juggling that new gig and a very personal matter will start to take its toll on McCall’s ex.
Will we meet any new characters in Yellowstone Season 5B (premiering Nov. 10)? –Therese
Doesn’t sound like anyone significant. Approaching the back half of Season 5, “we’ve been really focused on all of our core characters on their journeys,” executive producer David C. Glasser tells TVLine. “There’s no one big big that’s coming in this season.”
What’s the deal with these random countdowns for more than a handful of random Parks and Recreation episodes on Peacock? Will certain episodes be leaving later this month? –Giovanni
I am happy to report that Parks and Rec is not leaving Peacock. What I’m hearing is that due to a product/scheduling “bug,” several episodes were incorrectly displaying as expiring (as seen above) — but that should be resolved by now.
Do you know when Season 23 of Say Yes to the Dress Will air? –Karen
The series is coming back for another season, but there is no information on a premiere date yet.
Is there any news on the Australian series Fisk with Kitty Flanagan? It streams on Netflix in the U.S. –Ron and Mary Anne
As a matter of fact, filming on Fisk Season 3 just wrapped! But no word yet on a release timetable, here or Down Under.
Will Grey’s Anatomy’s Lucas and Simone finally be on the same page and be happy together in Season 21? —Tina
Yes… and no. Ahead of the long-running ABC drama’s return on Thursday, Sept. 26 (now at 10/9c), showrunner Meg Marinis reminds TVLine that in Season 20’s finale, Simone really stuck her neck out for Lucas. Still, “just based on the nature of being a surgical intern, nothing is easy relationshipwise. Not only do you have no time outside the hospital, but you’re faced with helping each other take care of life-and-death situations at the same time. So [their relationship] is always going to be filled with drama.”
Could you please let me know when 1923 is returning????? –Joan
All I can tell you is that filming on Season 2 (with the main cast) will begin later this year. And possibly very soon. Also, that was a lot of question marks!!!!!
Since Hasbro and Netflix parted ways on the Power Rangers reboot, has there been any progress regarding the series’ new direction or partner? –Brian
I asked around for you, Brian, but barely three months later, there are no updates yet to share.
Got anything on Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer? Is Yaya DaCosta’s Andrea Freeman returning? I loved her and Mickey’s dynamic in Season 2! –Rebecca
“Yes, Andrea Freeman will be returning in Season 3 (premiering Oct. 17),” showrunner Ted Humphrey tells Inside Line. “We loved the dynamic between her and Mickey as well, and she will play a very significant role — though in a somewhat different capacity than Season 2.”
Any updates on Cartoon Network’s Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal and Unicorn: Warriors Eternal? New seasons were announced well over a year ago. –Jeff
Primal Season 3 is currently in production, but there is nothing to report at this time on Unicorn.
