Do you have anything on Season 4 of Ghosts yet? –Lindsey
Hmm, already this hiatus Inside Line has given you the forecast for Hetty/Trevor, and the plan to meet more of [Spoiler]’s family in Season 4. But I also have this, per co-showrunner Joe Port: “We’ve been talking a lot about [revealing the cause of] Sas’ death, and we have something that we like. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got into that [next] season.”

I’m a lifelong fan of Frasier and all the recent casting reprisals have given me life. Is there any hints of the episode count for Season 2? I’d love for it to go beyond Season 1’s 10-episode count. –Joseph
Season 2 of Frasier, premiering Sept. 19, will again be 10 episodes — including both a Valentine’s Day and a Christmas episode — though the exec producers said during our TCA press tour set visit, “obviously, we’d love to do more” per season. Bonus scoop: TCA was on hand for the first table read for what will be this season’s second episode, and it’s a very funny riff on a murder mystery party.

What’s the status of Acorn TV’s Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries? I can’t find any details on its official renewal or cancellation, only speculation. –Chris
I can confirm that Ms Fisher will not be solving any more mysteries, modern or murder or otherwise.

Any scoop on the sophomore seasons of NBC’s The Irrational and Found? –Mason
When I was speaking with The Irrational showrunner Arika Mittman at TCA last week, I “joked” that she should send Broadway vet Jesse L. Martin’s Alec and Galavant alum Karen David’s Rose to a karaoke bar and see what happens. Now, I’m no expert on micro-expressions, but… judging by her reaction, I think I hit the nail on the head and such a scene may indeed happen. Meanwhile on Found, Sir will be “on the loose, wreaking havoc,” but “[his] endgame hasn’t changed. Sir’s endgame is Gabi, period,” says showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll. Adds Mark-Paul Gosselaar, “Any sort of connection that I can have with Gabrielle is good enough for Sir, whether that’s in the basement or out in the open.”

Will we see more of Dhan and Ethan’s relationship in Found Season 2? –Josefa
“Oh, yes,” showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll said when we delivered your Q. “We will. We will.”

When will Reacher Season 3 be out? –Ringo
Prime Video has yet to announce a date, but at the moment I am hearing “early 2025.”

What are the chances that we will see younger versions of other NCISVerse characters in NCIS: Origins (premiering Monday, Oct. 14 on CBS)? –Maria
In addition to Gibbs (played by series lead Austin Stowell) and his father Jackson (Longmire‘s Robert Taylor), Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid) and the deep cut that is Special Agent Vera Strickland (played once on NCIS by Roma Maffia and on Origins by Diany Rodriguez), co-showrunners David North and Gina Monreal told me that — in success — the 1990s-set spinoff could eventually cast young versions of, say, Scott Bakula’s Dwayne Pride or Linda Hunt’s Hetty Lange. “I don’t think we want to say no to anything,” said North.

Any idea what the episode counts will be this season for The Equalizer, Elsbeth and Tracker? –Lucy
I am awaiting double-secret confirmation of The Equalizer‘s Season 5 count, but Elsbeth will be 20 and Tracker 22.

Any updates concerning the Cold Case reboot? –Judy
It is still in development, that much I can assure you.

Is Gonzo the dog going to be a recurring character on Elsbeth next season? I sure hope so! –Karen
Elsbeth’s buddy will definitely be back. “I was so happy with that because of the way Gonzo came about,” showrunner Jonathan Tolins tells TVLine. “We had this murder plot with a dog, and just at a certain point, we thought, like, ‘What if Elsbeth falls in love with this dog?’ So it was nice how [Gonzo] was introduced in such an organic way, because we didn’t know we were doing it.”

Why has CBS been heavily airing Elsbeth promos? The season has been over for months and was renewed. Why aren’t they using these resources towards Kathy Bates’ Matlock, Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer, or anything new on CBS’ lineup (except NCIS: Origins)? I’m an Elsbeth fan, but I feel it’s a little much. –Scott
I’m purely spitballing here, but they might have been trying to elevate the show’s profile during the Emmys nomination process (albeit, and sadly, for naught).

When will Discovery show Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings Season 6 on TV? It was [the late] Lizzy [Musi]’s last season. –Beth
Discovery has yet to announce a timetable, but I’m hearing that you should expect an early 2025 premiere for Season 6.

Any scoop on Harley Quinn? –Jeff
I chatted up showrunner Dean Lorey (who, yes, also runs Kite Man: Hell Yeah! and the new CBS sitcom Poppa’s House), and he said that for Season 5, “I wanted to get the old gang back together and get a little back to basics. So it’s a different season, it’s a bit more focused, and it has a lot of new stuff but with the same group.” Meaning, that while “we revolve the things that we needed to from Season 4” — including that Nightwing cliffhanger — “it is a very new season.” (Watch for a trailer drop next week at Comic-Con!)

Any word on what to expect from Season 2 of Based on a True Story (and when we might see it)? –Valerie
With the action picking up a few months later, you can expect Ava and Nathan’s baby to have been born. As for a Peacock premiere date, I’m hearing it will be this year.

Any news on the Hallmark Mystery movie series True Justice? The first movie, Family Ties, premiered in January. –Michael
I brought your inquiry straight to Hallmark programming EVP Lisa Hamilton Daly, who… had “nothing to say” about further installments. Yet.

Some cast members from the #OneChicago shows have hinted that they’ve been back on set and that filming starts soon. Do you know how many episodes they have this season ? –Krista
Following the Hollywood strikes-shortened 2023-24 TV season, you can count on full, 22-episode seasons from Med, Fire and P.D. this time around.

Is the series adaptation of the queer novel Boys Come First still in development over at Amazon? I’m very excited to soak this one up. –Patrick
I am sorry to tell you that in this instance, the boys ain’t coming at all; that adaptation is no longer in development at Amazon MGM Studios.

A couple of years ago I read that a pilot was supposed to be done for a Kate & Allie reboot. Is it still in the works? –Lisa
That reboot pilot, announced in January 2021 and hailing from Young Rock‘s Erica Oyama and Nahnatchka Khan, fell out of development at NBC a couple of years ago.
