Martha Stewart's new autobiography won't leave anything out.

For Elle's January 2025 cover story, the lifestyle mogul, 83, sat down for an interview with Pamela Anderson, 57, to discuss aging as a woman, Anderson's awards season — including her The Last Showgirl Oscar snub — and each of their respective new books.

Stewart reflected on her decision to write her autobiography, and shared with Anderson that she's glad she reserved that pursuit for later in life.

"I've waited completely. Boy, am I having fun," she said. "I'm not going to let anything not be said. I want to tell it all."

Anderson published a memoir, Love, Pamela in 2023, which landed on The New York Times bestsellers list at No. 2 in its first week, just behind Prince Harry's book Spare in the nonfiction category.

But Stewart called Anderson's book a "diary of your life up until now" since Anderson is only 57. "You’re gonna have so much more to write about!" she added. For the lifestyle guru, it's a real challenge keeping it brief. Stewart doesn't want to follow the same path as Barbra Streisand, she said, who famously wrote a 970-page memoir.

And she's no stranger to the wide world of publishing. Stewart also announced a new gardening book on Jan. 23, Martha Stewart’s Gardening Handbook: The Essential Guide to Designing, Planting, and Growing. The forthcoming project marks her 101st book since her debut with 1982's Entertaining. Over the course of 40+ years in the field, Stewart has penned books on decorating, cooking, crafts and beyond.

Anderson shared that she's also experiencing an overflow of ideas, though they might manifest creatively as short films instead.

The Last Showgirl star added that she's "taken a very unorthodox route" to get where she is now, and commended Stewart on the bravery of also forging her own path.

"Martha, you’re a pioneer. There was no other way but yours," Anderson said. "And I think that’s a really exciting, romantic way to live. Living a mystery and being okay with that, that’s kind of where I’m at these days."
