MAFS groom's shocking on-air relationship confession

He’s been one of the most controversial Married At First Sight contestants ever and now groom Michael Goonan has just made a shocking admission live on air.

The 28-year-old company director chatted with Nova’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny this morning, where he seemed to slip up when he spoke about the new love in his life.

It comes as rumours have been circulating for weeks now that Michael and bride KC have hooked up after the show.

"Everyone keeps asking me if I'm with KC or if I'm not. Honestly, it’s getting fired at me that many times it’s ridiculous. I don’t honestly know where that came from," Michael said.

Chrissie then brought up the fact that he had previously appeared on the show, where he told the hosts that he is "100 percent with someone from the show".

“100% but everyone thinks of the show as being 20 people but there is 200 people that work on that show you know what I mean. You meet a lot of people."

"So you’re saying you’re seeing a producer? A caterer, a janitor?" Chrissie asked.

"I’ll tell you this, my partner is absolutely amazing, she’s a wonderful girl," he responded.

It’s not the first controversy Michael has been embroiled with since the beginning of the season of the channel nine hit reality show.

Just a few weeks ago he claimed he couldn’t remember a boozed-up night he had with a few of the rest of the cast, where he is believed to have hooked up with Hayley Vernon while his ‘wife’ Stacey Hampton was visiting her children in Adelaide.

“We were having a few drinks and hanging out,” Michael told TV WEEK.

“We were all joking and having a laugh. We were mucking around with the phone and were like, 'Oh, how funny would this be if this got out?’”
