Mark Consuelos nearly strikes woman with fly golf ball during “Live” show on course: 'I almost hit that lady'

Consuelos previously warned the woman and asked her to move for the shot. "Even I know you yell, 'fore!'" Kelly Ripa observed.

Mark Consuelos brightened the start of one lucky woman's day with the hilarious launch of stray golf ball in her general direction on national television.

The Live With Kelly and Mark cohost settled into the morning talk show's temporary relocation to the sunny greens of the Westin Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs, Calif. on Tuesday, where he and Kelly Ripa teed up a shot of PEOPLE's Sexiest TV Host winner whacking a ball off into the distance.

"Don't make fun of me, please," Consuelos said as he left the cohost table to shoot his shot, pausing briefly to warn an unsuspecting woman to get out of the line of fire.

"Lady! Hey, lady! Hey, lady! Watch out!" Consuelos shouted, while Ripa joined in: "Oh my gosh, there is a lady. You're supposed to yell, 'fore!' Even I know you yell, 'fore!'"

The Live audience then chanted, "Fore!" in unison as the woman seemingly moved after Consuelos again stressed that she should "get out of the way" before he swung the club.

Shortly after hitting the ball, Consuelos jumped, just as the program cut to a pre-recorded close-up shot of a ball going into the intended hole.

"Did you hit that lady that was actually golfing?" Ripa asked her husband as he returned to sit next to her. "I almost hit that lady," he confirmed, laughing. "She almost owns the Westin, yes."

Consuelos' powerful stroke is the latest in his growing roster of admittedly "alpha" accomplishments on the program, as Ripa also recently revealed that he once firmly relocated an airplane passenger's "man purse" so she could store her carry-on baggage in the overhead compartment on a flight.
