Kelly Ripa says Mark Consuelos won't 'get lucky tonight' after audience boos him for beating sweet older woman at trivia
Consuelos confidently triumphed over his latest "Stump Mark" contestant — and the audience was not having it.
Palm Springs has, for the second day in a row, brought out an even wilder side of morning TV's horniest couple.
Kelly Ripa made a hilarious joke about her sex life with husband and cohost Mark Consuelos on Wednesday morning's episode of Live, as the pair once again broadcasted on location from the Rancho Mirage resort in Palm Springs, Calif.
The couple began the show innocently enough, with another round of the fan-favorite "Stump Mark" segment that saw Consuelos attempt to decide which of two statements about a call-in contestant — a sweet older woman named Janet from Washington state — was false. Before the game began, though, Janet joked that the weather in her area was "wet," teeing up Consuelos for his first dig of the day: "A small part of us is happy that it's raining somewhere else," he joked.
He then handily defeated Janet in the trivia game, correctly guessing that a fun fact — that she received a pink moped for her 60th birthday — was accurate, prompting a chorus of boos from the Live audience.
"That's right, that's right, boo him, audience!" Ripa said. "Don't boo me! I can't help it, it just comes out of me!" Consuelos replied.
"Listen, Janet, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you ride a pink moped," he continued, after which Ripa quipped, "Janet, just so you know, Mark's not going to get lucky tonight!" before assuring her man, "Calm down! These are just jokes!"

Ripa's on-air quip came one day after other comical shenanigans from the couple as they broadcasted from Palm Springs, as Consuelos began Tuesday's show when he hit a golf ball that, according to him, came close to accidentally colliding with a random woman nearby.
Ripa and Consuelos also made their annual Halloween episode a particularly spicy affair in October, with Ripa dressing as a new Inside Out emotion named "Libido" to Consuelos appearing with his crotch censored as he embodied Anthony Ammirati, a pole-vaulting athlete whose endowment swept social media when his penis grazed the bar during his Olympics run.
