Nicole Kidman's Sheer Bridal Gown Made a Spellbinding Case for Winter White

She made the naked dress trend look so elegant.

Nicole Kidman is giving the naked dress trend a surprising, bridal twist. On Monday, the Perfect Couple actress made an elegant case for winter white on the red carpet, turning heads in an ethereal sheer gown painstakingly embroidered with patterns of floral appliqué and lace.

Kidman’s coiled ringlet curls might have been all ‘90s, but her see-through floor-length gown leveled up one of today’s biggest red carpet trends. While attending the premiere of  Netflix's Spellbound, the Australian star embraced a traditionally warm-weather hue with a bridal long-sleeved gown, which featured a sheer tulle overlay.

The sheer fabric was embellished with swirling floral designs made out of brocade and lace, which ran along Kidman’s bell sleeves, just under her collarbone, and the full length of her dramatic, floor-length skirt. The appliqué design was interspersed with peek-a-boo see-through pockets of fabric, giving the naked dress design a more elegant feel.

The dress included a mini-length slip underneath and was trimmed with delicate white lace on the sleeves and hem. A pair of black leather pointy-toed heels peeped out from underneath as Kidman posed on the red carpet.

It’s was a tough call whether Kidman’s bridal gown or ‘90s beauty look stole the show, as the Big Little Lies star brought back her Days of Thunder-era tight curls for the New York premiere. She eschewed her normally sleek platinum locks for middle-parted strawberry blonde ringlets as she posed alongside co-stars Rachel Zegler and Javier Bardem.

A pair of statement diamond drop earrings added some major sparkle to the winter white ensemble, which the star complemented with a soft berry lip stain, bold dark lashes, a shimmering metallic bronze eyeshadow, and highlighted cheekbones.
