Margaret Qualley is explaining husband Jack Antonoff's absence from the 2025 Golden Globes.

The actress, 30, walked the red carpet without Antonoff on Sunday, Jan. 5. In an interview with Variety, she revealed why the record producer couldn’t make it.

“He’s not here, he’s sick,” she said. “But my dad’s here instead, so that’s nice. He actually has [attended the Golden Globes] before! I think it’s been, like, 20 years, but he’s here.”

Antonoff later shared details of the wedding during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, saying that the day was "really beautiful" and more emotional than he expected.

"Someone told me that when you die and when you get married is the only time everyone you love is in a room," he said. "And I was like, ‘Oh that is just a thing someone says and I perform for a living so I don’t mind if the attention is on me.' And then as soon as it started, my whole body became wet."

Qualley is nominated at this year’s Golden Globes for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture for her part in The Substance. In September, she and the film’s star Demi Moore revealed that they had a personal connection offscreen long before sharing one in the movie, despite never having met.

For one, Moore, 61, starred with Qualley’s mother Andie MacDowell in 1985 hit St. Elmo’s Fire. “I worked with her mother in one of my first films,” she recalled, noting that Qualley also knew her daughters (Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, who Moore shares with ex Bruce Willis).

In The Substance, Moore plays Elisabeth Sparkle, an actress who uses an illicit serum to create a younger version of herself. That’s Sue, played by Qualley, who, in her reckless pursuit of fame, begins violating the Substance’s rules in order to extend time as that younger self.
