The seven-episode series, which is currently entering production and filming on location in Connecticut, will premiere in March 2025.
The Network founder Aram Rappaport serves as creator, executive producer, writer and director of “The Artist.” Hilary Shor (“Children of Men,” “The Paperboy”) is a producer.
“The way we make television has changed. I believe it is a fundamental truth that artists should hold the keys to their craft and creativity,” Rappaport said in a statement. “This series in collaboration with the cast and crew has proven there is a hunger to explore new frontiers in an episodic format, where actors have freedom to challenge themselves and take risks. This is something I believe we could only have been able to greenlight at The Network. I created a platform to push the boundaries of storytelling, and now we actually get to do it! How lucky are we?”
Patinkin is an Emmy-winning actor who has starred in “Homeland” and “Wonder.” McTeer is best known for “Kaos” and “Ozark,” and Huston’s credits include “Yosemite” and “Horizon: An American Saga.”
Patinkin is represented by CAA and Echo Lake Entertainment. McTeer is represented by MGMT. Entertainment and Curtis Brown. Huston is represented by Untitled Entertainment, UTA, Myman Greenspan Fox, and Julian Belfrage Associates.
Launching in May 2024, The Network is a free streamer that only releases exclusive originals. It has more than one million active users and aims to release one series per month in 2026.
