MAFS' Lizzie Sobinoff sparks frenzy with cryptic boyfriend post

Married At First Sight's Elizabeth Sobinoff has found love after splitting from her on-screen 'husband,' Seb Guilhaus back in January but is determined to keep her new boyfriend's identity under wraps.

The two-time TV bride debuted her budding romance with the mystery man a few days after Christmas but made sure to obscure his face in the craftiest of ways.

Lizzie posted two racy photos of the couple — in matching Santa hats — sharing a passionate kiss outdoors but both images had been edited to include a heart-eye emoji over her beau's face.

She followed it up with an equally cryptic snap of the pair in bed together, with Lizzie blocking her boyfriend from the camera.

Not only that, Lizzie buried the steamy pics among a carousel of festive snaps which she casually captioned, "Life things".

After her high-profile breakup with Seb in January 2021, Lizzie appears to be extra protective over her private life.

The pics attracted an influx of attention and curious questions in the comments section and while Lizzie refused to reveal her new love's name she did share a small insight into their dating history.

"That’s my man we have been together for a while," she replied to a fan.

"I just want to say that I admire the respect you have for your man and not posting his face. That's some honest respect right there," commented another fan.

"My life is so different compared to how people might know me (from a show) for me this is sacred and like my family I don’t allow access to lots of people I love," Lizzie responded.

When quizzed as to when she will unveil her boyfriend to the public, Lizzie quipped, "Probably never".

Lizzie and Seb split

Married At First Sight golden couple Elizabeth Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus called time on their relationship back in January after almost a year of dating.

Taking to Instagram, Lizzie shared a lengthy statement about the breakup.

"We have mutually decided to end our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend," she wrote. "We want to thank everyone for the endless support we have received on our platforms.

"Please be kind and respectful. We are aware you have followed parts of our journey, but please remember we are real people, and we are both navigating our way through this time to the best of our abilities.

"Naturally we are both aware there will be countless rumours and so on. Again, we are both navigating our way through this time so please be respectful and we won’t be allowing comments on this post. It is still fresh for us both, we just know there has been some curiosity as we have shared parts of our relationship online and we met on national television.

"We are both respectful of each other and are still involved in each other’s lives. We both have cherished each other and have grown together.

“We would like to send love and well wishes to all,” she finished.

Seb also shared the same statement with both he and Lizzie choosing to turn off comments on the post.

The fan favourites were the only pairing from last year's season of the show to remain together after it ended in early 2020.

The pair had recently filmed the MAFS All-Stars special, and they seemed to be as happy as ever posing for a selfie together on Boxing Day.

During her first stint on MAFS in 2019, Lizzie was famously paired with Sam Ball, who cheated on her. She returned to the show the following year and met and fell in love with Seb.
