MAFS star Ines Basic 'has lost 12kg' after viewer backlash

Ines Basic has most certainly been a key player in this year’s drama on Married At First Sight.

From her turbulent relationship with ‘husband’ Bronson Norris, to her ‘affair’ with Sam Ball, the Queenslander has been a point of discussion for many viewers.

However, the backlash and scrutiny has reportedly gotten the better of Ines and she’s “not coping”, according to Woman’s Day.

An alleged source told the magazine that the stress has caused Ines to lose “about 12kg since filming finished”.

“Everyone’s really worried about her,” they said.

In response to the claims, a spokesperson for Endemol Shine Australia – the company responsible for the production of Married At First Sight – told the publication, “The health and safety of our participants is always our first priority.

“Psychological support is readily available.”

Channel Nine has already stepped in to disable comments on all posts featuring Ines on the official MAFS page in response to social media backlash against the contestant.

Last week, tensions between Ines and Bronson hit an all-time high, after the 34-year-old entrepreneur retaliated in response to the way his legal assistant wife had been treating him.

Ines was discussing her on-screen husband’s “f**king eyebrow ring” with the experts, which eventually forced him to retaliate dropping the c-bomb.

Many viewers stood behind Bronson despite his slur, referring to Ines as a “piece of work” and a “nightmare”.

The following night on MAFS, the 28-year-old slid into Sam’s DMs (direct messages).

Subsequently the pair met up, to devise a secret cheating plan.

Last night it was revealed the group are jetting off on a holiday to the Gold Coast, which delighted Ines who’s hoping to “definitely” hook up with Sam – who is married to Elizabeth – while there.

MAFS continues at 7.30pm tonight on Channel Nine.
