MAFS' Sam Ball unrecognisable after six-month Instagram hiatus
MAFS star Sam Ball has made a dramatic return to Instagram after a six-month hiatus with a brand new look that’s a world away from his reality TV stint last year.
The Canberran shocked his fans by debuting a radical hairstyle in a selfie he shared on Sunday. His thick dark locks have been shaved off to reveal a completely bald head, while his signature stubble is also a thing of the past.
Sam, who ‘married’ Lizzie Sobinoff on the show, completed his clean-cut look with a blue suit, white shirt and bright red tie.
“If you see me less, I'm doing more,” the part-time model captioned the jaw-dropping snap.
Sam’s fans came out in droves to welcome him back to social media and praise his transformation.
“Love the new look,” one wrote.
“Holy bald suits you!” said another.

Several of his followers compared him with video game character Hitman who is known for his sharp tailoring and bald head.
“Hitman commin at ya,” one joked.
Another fan suspected that his image overhaul might hint at a potential new venture.
“I feel like this new look may be for a film or tv series and you’re back to eventually start promoting it?” they asked to which Sam replied, “Anything could be on the cards!”
Sam had been silent on his Instagram account since May when he mostly stuck to sharing workout selfies that showed off the results of his intense quarantine fitness routine.
He gained a reputation as a ‘villain’ on Married At First Sight after he cheated on his ‘bride’ Lizzie with fellow contestant Ines Basic, who was also married to Bronson Norrish.
However, after their steamy fling, Sam dropped a major bombshell at a commitment ceremony where he expressed ‘regret’ over ever starting something with Ines.
Lizzie, of course, had a very successful second shot at love when she appeared on the 2020 season where she was paired with Sebastian Guilhaus. The pair have been going strong since the show and were all set to move in together in April when the COVID-19 outbreak derailed their plans.
