Former MAFS couple unrecognisable
Elizabeth Sobinoff and Sam Ball first found infamy after their mismatched Married at First Sight relationship made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
But a year after they first met, the one-time couple are looking very different to how they appeared during their onscreen wedding last September.
Same but different
Elizabeth has traded in her platinum blonde locks for a highlighted brunette ‘do, and has lost 10kg - which the 27-year-old has previously attributed to an auto-immune condition which she once called ‘a mild cousin of lupus’.
What was still the same in her latest Instagram photo, was Elizabeth’s trademark positivity that was clearly evident in a sweet message to fans beneath the snap.
“Hope everyone is feeling fine,” she wrote. “If you are not, I hope your crown stops slipping soon...I genuinely mean this.”
“Take what you will from that but I hope you are all having a good one.”
Sam’s switch-up
And while both Elizabeth and Sam appear to have very much moved on from their stint on the show, both seem to be fashioning similarly drastic makeovers.
Instead of the infamous mid-length locks he rocked during filming, Sam recently debuted a buzzcut which he said was altered in a bid to ‘keep everyone guessing’.
“Mixing it up as usual,” he captioned the photo in a direct reference to his haircut.
Fans were quick to give their tick of approval to the look, labelling it everything from ‘yum’ to ‘way better’ than Sam’s longer locks.
The ex-couple’s onscreen relationship didn’t last long, with commotion first starting when Sam ditched Elizabeth the day after their nuptials to attend his ex-girlfriend’s mother’s funeral in New Zealand.
Weeks later, he and co-star Ines Basic shocked Australia - and their spouses - by carrying out a steamy, but short-lived affair, during their stint on the show.
