MAFS' Patrick clashes with Bryce: From 0 to 100 'very quickly'

Personal trainer Patrick Dwyer is one of the more laidback grooms on the current season of Married at First Sight but even he wasn't able to keep his cool in tonight's highly-anticipated 'couples retreat' episode.

Earlier this morning during a chat with his TV bride Belinda Vickers and Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa, Patrick hinted at the explosive confrontation between himself and controversial co-star Bryce Ruthven.

Patrick slams Bryce

In the promo clip for the episode, an unusually riled up Patrick calls out Bryce for his 'disgusting' behaviour after he sarcastically planted a kiss on bride Beck Zemek’s cheek leaving her in tears.

"You get very heated tonight," host Fitzy says to Patrick. "It gets to the point where you’ve got your chest out, does it get physical at any stage?"

But, according to Patrick, no one came to blows although he does admit to losing his normally cool temper after Bryce's stunt.

"No it didn’t get physical at all," he replies, "I’m pretty good with my emotions and I control myself quite well but in that moment I went from 0 to 100 very quickly".

Wippa pipes up to enquire about what measures are in place to keep the contestants safe when tensions boil over in moments such as this.

"How far off is security from a production point in case, you know, someone pushes and then punches are thrown? Is there any security?" he asks.

Apparently not, says Belinda.

"Well there wasn’t security was there, there were producers and stuff," she reveals.

"They’re producers and security guards," Patrick quips.

MAFS complaints

Patrick's comments come amid reports that multiple complaints have been made to the Australian Communications and Media Authority from outraged MAFS viewers.

Bryce and his 'wife' Melissa Rawson are said to be the focus of several complaints after fans raised 'concerns over the scenes' involving the pair.

During Monday night's episode, Bryce was involved in yet another confrontation with the other couples over his decision to write 'Leave' and then cross it out to put 'Stay' at the latest commitment ceremony.

The move had plenty of the contestants seeing red, particularly Beck and Jake who again slammed Bryce for the way he treats Melissa.

'Fake tears'

Also ahead of tonight's episode, Bryce told the Kyle & Jackie O Show that what happened between himself and Beck was "not really a kiss".

“You know how you greet someone, give them a hug, say hello, kiss on the cheek sort of thing,” he explained.

Bryce went on to accuse Beck of breaking down in "fake tears" after the incident.

"She gives me a big shove away and then breaks down in fake tears," he claimed.

In the promo clip for the episode, Bryce is seen telling a puzzled Jake: "I'll crown you the king of the experiment".

He then marches over to Jake’s ‘wife’ Beck and kisses her on the cheek, saying: "You know what? You're the queen."

At this point, Patrick fires up and calls Bryce's move "disgusting" while Beck appears to start crying.
