MAFS' Martha reveals hefty price of her diamond engagement ring: 'I felt sick'

After breaking the internet last month when she announced that she and Michael Brunelli were engaged, Martha Kalifatidis has now shared details about her impressive engagement ring.

The former Married At First Sight bride joined KIIS FM’s Will & Woody on Tuesday and revealed the enormous cost of her diamond bling that left her feeling “sick”.

While playing a game of higher and lower, Martha admitted that the engagement ring was “close, but just a bit under” $110k.

Michael worked with Armans Fine Jewellery to design the unique emerald cut ring with a yellow gold band, which features the diamond placed horizontally instead of vertically.

Speaking about how she learnt about the ring’s hefty price, Martha told the radio hosts that she had searched through his overnight bag to find the receipt.

“I actually felt sick,” she said about her reaction to seeing how much Michael had spent.

The Celebrity Apprentice star also opened up about the “unbelievable” proposal and why she pleaded with Michael not to get down on one knee.

During a trip to Bundeena in New South Wales, Michael had planned for Martha’s friends to make her believe that there was a “Met Gala themed party” at the house he had hired.

However, she says “the timing was bad” and she didn’t have a chance to wash her hair or wear any makeup to the event.

“Literally it was the day after Michael and I moved into our apartment. I had no shampoo, I had no makeup, everything was in boxes,” she detailed.

When Martha ended up arriving at the house and saw her now-fiancé “shaking like a leaf”, she started begging him not to propose.

“I just started saying ‘No, please don’t do it! Don’t do it! I look disgusting! Please, don’t do it! Please just stop, not now, this is not the outfit’,” she recalled.

“And then we just did it anyway. It was really cute… It was also so well planned and thought out.”

Martha’s candid conversation comes after she shared a savage post on Instagram hitting back at rumours that she was hiding a pregnancy.

“I am not pregnant! You can stop asking me,” she captioned a photo featuring several DMs from curious fans.

“I’ve been offline because I have felt like shit since Covid. The ‘dream’ you had I was pregnant isn’t real, the ‘incline’ lol inkling you had I was pregnant… Babe you ain’t onto something.

“Go talk to your crystals for another month and see what happens. Who knows maybe your ‘incline’ might come true!”
