MAFS EXCLUSIVE: Melinda and Layton’s relationship ‘fizzled out’ after final vows
The fan favourite couple decided to continue their relationship during Sunday night's Final Vow episode.
MAFS’ Melinda Willis and Layton Mills have had a fiery on-screen relationship this year, with the two CEOs deciding to continue their relationship during Sunday night’s Final Vows episode. After a heated spat during last week’s dinner party, where Layton tore down Melinda’s raw admission about loving him, the couple realised their relationship was too special to throw away.
Sadly, the episode was filmed three months ago and it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the fan favourite couple since. Speculation keeps growing around the pair, with some viewers believing they have secretly split.
Fans have noticed that Sydney-based Layton hasn’t moved in with his Queensland bride yet, and an insider claims that their long-distance relationship is taking a toll.
“Melinda and Layton are technically still together, but their relationship hasn’t blossomed like she’d hoped since filming wrapped. They’ve been doing long distance but it’s fizzled a little bit as they’re both so busy running their businesses,” the source tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

According to the insider, now that the show is coming to the end and the pair no longer have to keep their relationship under wraps, there could be hope for the once loved-up couple. However, some of their fellow participants think the end is looming.
“As of right now, there’s not many sparks flying. Some of the cast think it’s only a matter of time until Layton ends things,” they tell us.
Melinda ‘unrecognisable’ in throwback photos
This comes after resurfaced snaps of Melinda sent fans into a frenzy. Before she started her successful beauty business and established her influencer brand online, the reality TV contestant had dark brunette locks.
In photos shared on Instagram in 2015, she self-described "9.5 out of 10" looks completely different. In one snap, she poses with a mystery man during a work Christmas party.
She has her wavy brunette locks swept to one side while wearing a modest black dress and a pair of nude flats.

In another Instagram post, Melinda is seen showing off her tan from City Tropics Tanning. Her straight dark locks frame her face as she takes a selfie.
Her eyebrows are defined and she opted for dark, dramatic eye makeup. For a pop of colour, she added a simple pink lip.
