MAFS EXCLUSIVE: Lyndall tears up after 'trying to quit show' before final vows
Lyndall's relationship with Cam hit rockbottom just before filming wrapped.
It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for MAFS’ Lyndall Grace and Cameron Dunne, with the couple battling to see a future together after the experiment. And now it’s been revealed that 27-year-old Perth accountant, Lyndall, tried to quit the show days before filming their final vows.
Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that just before production wrapped in October last year, Lyndall was so adamant her relationship with Cameron wouldn't work, that she wanted to return to Perth before the couple even exchanged their final vows to each other.
Pictures appear to show Lyndall wiping tears away from her eyes in Sydney’s Hyde Park, while being comforted by a producer. However, it’s believed she was convinced to stay and told to “channel these emotions into her final vows” so she could “see her storyline out until the very end”.

A source tells Yahoo Lifestyle: “As soon as Cameron started talking about how much he'd be working remotely, Lyndall knew they'd never work and there was no point trying. She wanted to just leave and go home then. Producers convinced her to channel these emotions into her final vows though and end the series with a real moment, holding Cam accountable for wasting her time.”
Cam, 27, is currently based in the Northern Territory as a FIFO carpenter while Lyndall works as an accountant in Perth. Last week’s dinner party showed Cam refusing to even consider making any compromise about their future living arrangements together, reiterating how important his career is to him.
Fans of the show were left shocked when Cam even told Lyndall that there was no point in her moving to Darwin to avoid a long-distance relationship, saying he could be working out remote for “six months to a year” without phone reception.
“What’s the point of moving, why would you move from Perth away from all your family when I’m not gonna be in Darwin — I’ll still be out remote?”
Last week it was revealed that the couple, who were once fan favourites, reportedly haven't spoken since they wrapped the show late last year, according to Daily Mail.
"The lines of communication broke down completely," an insider told the publication, who claims the pair "limped" to the final vows. "Lyndall lets Cam have it during the final vows, and he was not impressed with her one bit.
"Lyndall does not hold back and completely savages the poor guy. He was completely dumbfounded by it."
