MAFS' Domenica offered major reality TV gig amid huge success

She became the breakout star of this year’s season of Married At First Sight, and now Domenica Calarco is set to appear on another major reality TV show.

Yahoo Lifestyle can exclusively reveal that Channel Nine has offered the 29-year-old a spot on next year’s season of Celebrity Apprentice, which is slated to begin filming in November.

“Dom is arguably the most popular participant to ever come off Married At First Sight, and Channel Nine is desperate to keep her with the network,” a source tells us.

“They're willing to throw some big money at her to get her to sign for Celebrity Apprentice as they know her huge following will bring in ratings.”

If Dom was to join the series, she would become the third MAFS bride to face Lord Alan Sugar in the boardroom after Martha Kalifatidis and Beck Zemek.

Martha came in third place last year and earned $40,000 for her chosen charity, while Beck was the first person to be fired this season.

However, Beck eventually came back into the competition and earned over $20,000 before getting fired again in eighth place.

Dom’s huge success

While she might not have found love with her ‘husband' Jack Millar on Married At First Sight, Dom walked away from the experience with over 500,000 followers on Instagram.

Since the show, she’s already appeared as a guest on The Hundred, collaborated with major fashion retailer Showpo, and launched a podcast with fellow MAFS star Ella Ding.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle around the launch of their podcast Sit With Us, Dom and Ella said that they’re excited to have their own platform where they can be “uncensored and unfiltered”.

“First and foremost, our goal is engaging with our audience and the incredible people that have followed our journey on MAFS, but also not just following us because we were on this TV show, but following us because they resonated with the people that we really are,” Dom explained.

“Also providing advice,” Ella added. “We feel like both of us individually have lived very eventful lives, which we will share a lot on our podcast so that we can bring people up to speed on who we are and why we are who we are.

“We really have experienced it all, whether it has been marriage, divorce, single for 10 years, dating, f**kboys, disappointment, just all that sort of stuff. It's something that so many of us can relate to and there's just so much more that we want to share.”
