MAFS couple confirm secret romance following explosive finale

Now that the Married At First Sight finale has finally aired, one of the season's worst kept secrets can finally become public.

Michael Goonan and KC Osborne officially confirmed their relationship in a joint interview with New Idea, revealing they've been together for the last five weeks.

The pair is even self-isolating together at Michael's house for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic.

Things became romantic and as Australia began asking people to self-isolate due to the coronavirus, the pair decided they couldn't be apart from each other and wanted to isolate together.

KC has also met Michael's young son from a previous relationship.

Michael told the publication, "It's love... We have one hell of a journey ahead of us."

And it seems like that journey includes children if things continue to go well.

"I think KC would be the best mum," said Michael. "[Our daughter would be] a little dancing pop star! We are excited to start the next chapter."

KC also revealed she told ex-'husband' Drew Brauer about the relationship after filming the Today show together in March.

"I went for lunch with Drew after filming the Today show [on March 11] and he asked if the rumours were true.

"I couldn't lie to him, so I told him that we were dating. Drew was nothing but supportive and agreed to keep it a secret."

Michael's ex-'wife' Stacey Hampton, however, isn't all that keen on the pairing as she and KC were quite close during filming.

In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, Stacey said, "Hopefully he can keep this girl longer than a month."

She added while she doesn’t regret entering the show, she believes the experts were aware of her boundaries when she applied, and landed her with a seriously bad match.

“I’ve learnt a lot about myself and my worth,” she says. “What I deserve and what I shouldn’t settle for.”

Meanwhile, Michael took to Instagram last week to thank Stacey for leading him to his "perfect match".

He wrote in a comment, "We all f**k up believe me I’m no saint. Though it’s me and only me that was betrayed Mikey was single... I’m not hurting anymore, I thank [Stacey], she allowed me to meet my perfect match. In the end I won in a strange way that’s life karma and lessons learnt. Thanks @Staceyhampton —- I’m still blocked so probs won’t work."

KC shared her own statement about the end of the show on her Instagram, she wrote, "Regardless how [the show] turned out I am a believer everything happens for a reason. To all my fellow cast members I Hope life brings you love because I do believe it’s the best feeling in the world! Thanks for watching."

Michael quickly commented on the post, "Thanks KC I must admit life has been pretty good to me..."

Stacey also has a new man, Anthony Messina, sharing a cheeky photo of them together on Sunday night.
