MAFS' Bryce and Melissa reveal their twins receive death threats

Former MAFS stars Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson have revealed their twin sons, who they welcomed into the world in October last year after their appearance on the reality show, have been targeted with death threats.

The pair made the shock revelation during an appearance on an upcoming episode of Channel 7's Spotlight.

Bryce also added that MAFS viewers have no real idea of what goes on, "You think you know what you saw, but you have absolutely no idea."

The couple is joined by a variety of personalities on the show including Biggest Loser's Ajay Rochester, Brynne Edelsten, Cameron Daddo, Home and Away's Ada Nicodemou and more.

'The country got fooled'

Bryce and Melissa spoke to Confidential in December, claiming Channel Nine "fooled the country", when they aired "triggering" scenes from their relationship on the show.

"We knew what the truth was from day one but unfortunately the country got fooled," Bryce told the publication. "They have to have a villain and for some reason I got picked out."

Melissa agreed, adding, "I wasn’t overly happy with (the editing) but I guess that’s what comes with making a television show. It needs to be entertaining for everybody."

Fans of the show were shocked when Bryce told Melissa during their honeymoon that she was "not ugly", but not his usual type.

"When I first saw you I thought, ‘Not my type’. But I thought, she’s not … ugly?" he said. "I've always gone for the blonde hair, blue eyes, tanned kind of girl, and someone that's, like, usually taller."

Melissa was clearly heartbroken and broke down in tears.

Bryce has also previously shared his biggest regret from his time on the show, telling the Daily Mail, "My biggest regret is definitely allowing the producers to manipulate me and convince me things that were going to be received as 'being honest.'"

The reality star also added that he was deeply remorseful for making remarks about Melissa's appearance and placing Beck Zemek in first place when putting the women in order of how attractive they were. Bryce ranked Melissa in fourth place

"What I said to Liss at the beginning of the show I would never say to a female I’ve just met. Never in a million years," he said. "I eventually cottoned onto it and refused to do sh*t but yeah."

He added that he felt sick watching the show back earlier this year and very much regretted the comments he made about Melissa.
