MAFS' Alyssa drops X-rated bombshell about Duncan in tell-all interview

The season 10 star is finally speaking out about her time on the reality show.

Married At First Sight’s Alyssa Barmonde has made a surprising confession about her relationship with Duncan James on the reality show.

The 35-year-old, who has remained reasonably quiet about her MAFS experience since the show finished airing in April, revealed during a tell-all interview this week that she and Duncan lied about the first time they had sex.

“I do have a bit of a truth bomb,” she said on Selina Chhaur and Taku Chimwaza’s Back To Reality podcast.

“We did not wait to intimacy week. So we had told everyone that we were waiting, that it never happened.”

Alyssa admitted that the first time she and Duncan had sex was on their honeymoon, which took place in Yarrawonga, Victoria.

“Look, I don’t want to throw him under the bus because I initially agreed with him,” she explained. “But he had said, ‘Look, let’s not tell anyone about this. I feel like we'll be a bit more respected if we just wait until after Intimacy Week’. And I was like, ‘That's a good idea’.

“The production would’ve known because my producer was always like, ‘Has it happened yet?’, and I'm probably glowing, right?” she added with a laugh. “She’d always give me this look, and I'm the worst liar. So I would always be looking around like, things are fine! She’s like, ‘Has it happened yet?’ and I was like, ‘No!’. She knew.”

'It was sick'

Elsewhere in the interview, Alyssa shared her honest thoughts on Duncan’s new relationship with their season 10 co-star Evelyn Ellis.

“I'm not gonna say that it was surprising, because I always felt like something was happening between them,” she confessed.

“I don't think that their relationship started after the show. I don't think it did.”

Alyssa remarked that Evelyn is exactly Duncan’s type because she is “so hot” and he has “always dated younger women”, and said she “100 per cent” believes something happened between them during the partner swap challenge.

“Imagine you're going away for a weekend and your friend, because Evelyn was my friend in the experiment, came over to come and housesit with your husband, and you come back and he gives you a photo of himself half-naked, straddling your KitchenAid that she had taken,” she detailed.

“Like, whose idea was that, that all this is going to be fun and playful? Strip off your clothes, let me throw flour on you and you can straddle it - it was sick.”

'I'm happy for them'

Alyssa went on to say that she’s happy Duncan and Evelyn have found love since MAFS, but wishes they told her about their relationship before going public.

“I do feel like they’re a really good match for each other and they look gorgeous together, so if the whole point of a life is to find love, and if that's how they found love, that’s great,” she said.

“I just wish they would have had enough respect for me like they did for Rupert [Bugden], to come to me and tell me.”

She added that while she can understand why Duncan didn’t tell her because they weren’t on speaking terms at the time, she believes Evelyn should’ve contacted her.

“Evelyn messaged me on our Final Vows and she was like, ‘Hey, I'm rooting for you and Duncan, good luck’. And I was like, are you rooting for us?’,” she recalled.

“If she would have come to me and said, ‘Hey, just so you know, Duncan and I have been hanging out, I really want to explore this’, I would have said, ‘Go for it’. Even when the person told me I was like, I'm happy for them. I don't have any ill intent, I don't have any bad wishes for either of them, it's just about respect.”

When approached for comment, Duncan told Yahoo Lifestyle: “I think it’s disrespectful to discuss anything physical. My focus is on my relationship with Evelyn, not something that happened last year. I won’t talk negatively about Alyssa and I wish her all the best.”
