Madonna's Son David Banda Makes New York Fashion Week Debut During Off-White's Spring 2025 Show

The 18-year-old walked the Off-White runway on Sunday, Sept. 8

Another one of Madonna’s children has officially made a New York Fashion Week debut.

Madonna’s second eldest son, David Banda, 18, walked the Off-White’s spring 2025 presentation at New York Fashion Week on Sunday, Sept. 8. David joins older sister Lourdes Leon as one of the singer’s children to walk NYFW — Lourdes previously walked Versace, Marine Serre and Luis De Javier.

At the event, Banda, a musician, made his way down the catwalk in a plaid collared vest, black pleated trousers, statement earrings, glovelets and flip-flops. Banda’s debut was watched by several celebrities, from singer Camila Cabello and actress Issa Rae to Olympic gymnast Suni Lee.

Alongside Banda, Beyoncé's nephew, Solange Knowles’ son Daniel “Julez” J. Smith Jr. also walked the catwalk.

“I think America is a foundation of Off-White; I think it’s good to come home, show love to the city and the city to show love back. To celebrate the city and be part of an evolving community of a global traveler and global people, which is very New York,” creative director Ib Kamara said of his spring collection, per WWD.

After the event, Madonna posted a series of Instagram Stories from the event afterparty, including a snapshot alongside Kamara, 34.

Madonna previously told Jimmy Fallon on an August 2022 The Tonight Show episode that Banda, like his mother, has an affinity for fashion. penchant for fashion. That year, he was famously photographed alongside his mother, wearing a replica of an Adidas dress she sported in 1993.

“He can put on any outfit and look swag as you know what,” Madonna said. “It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better in them.” Adding, “he can even wear a dress.”

She also noted for Fallon, “He makes music now, too. He's gonna end up being one of your guests.”

Earlier this year, in May, he posted a series of photos on his Instagram, providing a peek into his music career. He visited the late Prince’s studio, Paisley Park. Channeling his inner Prince, he wore a floral suit and a lacy top with an ascot as he sat at the musician's mixing board.

Madonna shares Banda with ex-husband Guy Ritche, as well as Rocco, 23. She also shares Lourdes with ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon. After her divorce from Ritche she adopted Mercy James, and twins Stella and Estere, 12.
