Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song Share the Different Ways Their Sons Act Just Like Mom and Dad
The 'Home Alone' actor and 'The Last Showgirl' actress share two children: Dakota, 3, and Carson, 2
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song love their little family.
The Home Alone actor, 44, and the Disney star, 36, recently gave a glimpse into their private family life during an interview with Cosmopolitan. Culkin admitted he's proudly in his stay-at-home dad era, hosting playdates, bumping heads with son Dakota, 3, whom they affectionately call DakDak, and being "Papa T-rex."
The couple agreed that Dakota's personality is more like his father's, and the similarities sometimes cause them to clash. Carson, 2, shares the same raspy voice as Song. While both of their sons have personalities indicative of one particular parent, Culkin and Song see themselves in both of them.

"But Carson walks on his tippy-toes, like me,” Culkin told the outlet. "And DakDak is a stomper, like me," Song added.
The duo, who are notoriously private when it comes to their children, recently brought their sons to Culkin's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in December 2023.
"That was such a special moment. We couldn't have them miss that," Song previously told Bustle of her two sons, but admitted that "Dak was scared of all the cameras."
"That's one of the reasons why we sort of keep them away," she continued, referencing the Hollywood spotlight. "They did not understand what was happening."
She shared with the outlet that they intentionally try to keep them away from the public eye.
"My son was like, 'Why is that man taking pictures of you, mama?' " she recalled one instance when she was photographed at a soccer game. "You could take pictures of me all day. I don't care. But when it's your kids, it's different. They didn't ask for this life."
