Luvvie Ajayi Jones is publishing a new book with an important message.

PEOPLE can exclusively share the cover of the bestselling author and speaker’s forthcoming children’s book, Little Troublemaker Defends Her Name. The book, forthcoming in spring 2025, will be published by Philomel Books, an imprint of Penguin Books.

Little Luvvie, the book’s main character, is excited for her first day at a new school. When she arrives, however, Luvvie is met with a variety of obstacles: she gets in trouble for her response to teasing about her name, she forgets her lunch and a teacher sees the private note that Luvvie wrote to herself about how much she dislikes school. Luvvie, though, soon comes to see that there are ways to turn the day around.
