Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, the CEO of Feeding America, one of the nation's largest disaster relief organizations, shared a message to thank the music superstar for her generosity, writing in a statement posted to social media, "We're incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts. This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms."

"Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead," the statement continued. "Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need."

While tons of fans immediately began applauding Swift for the donation, several Swifties were quick to preemptively defend the musician from any possible criticism over the amount she chose to donate.

"If I see 1 person talking about how $5 million is nothing to her then you donate 5 mil," one user on X (formerly Twitter) said about the "Karma" singer.

"yet people still think this isn't enough...," someone else pointed out while arguing, "$5 million dollars is literally better and LITERALLY MORE than enough."

"Theyre gonna say she shouldve donated 500 million," someone else predicted, while another person wrote, "i can already smell the thinkpieces and complaints over this."

"No one can EVER and I mean ever make me hate this angel. She has the purest heart," one Swiftie wrote in support of the 14-time Grammy winner, who officially reached billionaire status in 2023.

"Anyways imagine if all billionaires did stuff like this instead of just a few," one user wrote in support of Swift, while another fan warned, "Don't ever question her heart."

"Say what you want about her but she donates in time of need, someone else added, before calling the singer, "A queen."
