Luke Hemsworth Cast as Crocodile Wrangler in Season 2 of Prime Video’s ‘Deadloch’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Luke Hemsworth has joined as a leading cast member in Season 2 of Australian crime comedy-drama series “Deadloch.” The Prime Video series is shooting now in Queensland, Australia.
Created and written by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, the series sees two female detectives in harsh and tropical Darwin investigating the death of Bushy, the former policing partner of one of the women. But when a body is discovered in a remote town, they are flung into a new sweatier, stickier investigation.

Hemsworth (“Westworld,” “Thor: Love & Thunder”) will play Jason Wade, creator and star of ‘Jason Wade’s Adventures Down Under’ and the owner of ‘Jason Wade’s Land of Crocs and Other Animals’ Wildlife Park.
He is the older brother of Chris and Liam Hemsworth and started his acting career with iconic TV show “Neighbours” before transitioning to “All Saints” and “Westworld.” His film credits include “Kill Me Three Times” and Taika Waititi’s “Next Goal Wins.”
“Luke Hemsworth is joining our cast as croc-wrangling Territory icon, Jason Wade. We’re feeling very happy with ourselves about this because he’s perfect. It’s perfect casting,” said McCartney and McLennan.
He joins recurring figures from the first season Kate Box and Madeleine Sami, and other leading cast Nina Oyama and Alicia Gardiner.
Previously announced new cast members include: Steve Bisley (“The Great Gatsby,” “Mystery Road: Origin,” “Mad Max”), Shari Sebbens (“The Sapphires,” “The Office”), Jean Tong (“Safe Home,” “Heartbreak High”), Genevieve Morris (“Bloom”), Byron Coll (“The Luminaries”), Nikki Britton (“How to Stay Married”), Anthony J Sharpe (“Joe v Carole”), Blake Pavey (“Urvi Went to an All Girls School”), Damien Garvey (“The Artful Dodger,” “Rake”), Ngali Shaw (“The Twelve”), Bev Killick (“Savage River”), Ling Cooper-Tang (“Troppo”), Ursula Yovich (“Top End Wedding,” “Mystery Road” and upcoming “Top End Bub”), Syd Brisbane (“High Country,” “Stateless”), Ines English (“Last Days of the Space Age”) and Lennox Monaghan (“Windcatcher”).
McCartney and Kate McLennan also serve as executive producers alongside Kevin Whyte and Tanya Phegan from Guesswork Television. Andy Walker is the producer and the series is directed by Beck Cole and Gracie Otto. “Deadloch” is produced by Guesswork Television, OK Great Productions and Amazon MGM Studios.
“Deadloch” Season 2 is financed with the assistance of Screen Territory through its Production Attraction Incentive Program and is further supported by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy.
Having completed filming in the Northern Territory, production has now moved to Queensland, utilizing the Brisbane studios.
