“Love Is Blind” Takes on Washington D.C. for Season 7! Meet the Cast, Including the First-Ever Set of Sisters
A crop of new, Washington D.C.-based singles are looking for love and ready to find their soulmates in the pods
It's time to go back into the pods — an all-new season of Love Is Blind is almost here!
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, Netflix announced the lineup for season 7 of its beloved blind-dating series, which set its sights on a group of singles based in Washington, D.C..
In a teaser, the cast — which includes a set of sisters for the very first time — introduces themselves as they reflect on past dating mishaps, reveal what they're looking for in a marriage and own up to their stance on cats, which seems to be a hot topic in D.C.'s dating circles.

The cast of singles, who range in age from 27 to 37, cover a wide spectrum of professions — from quantum physicists to art dealers and journalists — but they all have one thing in common: they're willing to try their hand at the experiment in hopes of falling in love and getting engaged to a partner, sight unseen.
Many of the cast members have done outrageous things for their other halves in the past — from Ashley W., 32, who admitted she was the "sole provider" for her boyfriend to 34-year-old Tyler who paid for "someone's rent that lived hours from me," only to find out she was "cheating" on him the entire time.
Cheating seems to be a shared experience amongst the singles, as Taylor, 30, also brought up a history of being cheated on and forgiving the person.
Cats are another hot topic. Quantum physicist Garrett, 33, is allergic to them, but still dated a woman who had one as a pet for a whole year.
Marissa, 32, has two cats, and she laid down the law immediately. "I don't like people who hate cats," the lawyer said. "You have to at least, you know, be neutral about them."
The singles have also had some crazy ups and downs in their dating lives, as Bodhan, 36, recalled failed date night when a "girl came over to cook me a steak dinner and she ended up cutting off the tip of her finger."
As for what they're looking for in a potential partner, things like independence and paying attention to the little things are what come to mind. "I want someone that remembers the things that I like or don't like and considers my feelings," Nina, 32, said, while Nick D., 29, said he doesn't "want someone who's gonna kind of latch onto me."
The cast was also asked what they'd call this chapter if their love life was a book, and Monica, 37, said "'Holy s---,' cause this is so crazy," while Tara, 29, said, "'Bland.' But it gets exciting now, so... 'Bland but exciting.'"
Per the streamer's official synopsis, "the singles form deep and immediate connections" this season, "setting the stage for an unexpected journey full of twists, turns, and shocking revelations that will test each relationship well after the participants leave the pods for the real world."
