There were plenty of jokes in his speech and the following came after the show stretched close to midnight.

"Nat Barr is looking at me like, "Baby, I've got to get up in 25 minutes."

Wrapping up the awards, Sam Pang carried on the joke announcing to viewers the next show on air would be Sunrise.

  • Larry Emdur’s co-stars throw their support for his Gold Logie campaign

It's quite clear who Seven's breakfast hosts are hoping to win the big one tonight.

“As his campaign manager, I think [his campaign] has gone exceptionally well,” Larry Emdur’s The Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies told Yahoo Lifestyle on the red carpet.

“I think it’s been bloody brilliant, and I think he deserves to win,” Sunrise star Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington said. “I couldn’t believe that he had hadn't been nominated prior to this. He absolutely deserves to be nominated.

Nat Barr added that she hopes Larry takes home the Gold after he said he will "happily get all the nominees name initials tattooed on my a**" if he does.

“Shirvo has organised for his tattooist to come in tomorrow morning, so we’re ready for it,” she revealed.

“I just saw Tony Armstrong back there, and I’m asking each individual nominee if they will come into the studio personally and put their initials on his butt cheek. So we’re trying to make that happen tonight,” Matt shared.
