‘The Lincoln Lawyer’: Constance Zimmer Joins Season 4 Of Netflix Series
EXCLUSIVE: Constance Zimmer has been tapped for a major role in the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s popular legal drama Lincoln Lawyer, from A+E Studios. Appearing in all 10 episodes Zimmer will play Dana Berg, a character from the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Law of Innocence, on which the season is based.
The storyline was teed up at the end of the Season 3 finale when Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) was pulled over and arrested when the body of a client was found in the trunk of his Lincoln. Next season will see Mickey defending himself as he goes on trial for murder. He will face off with the prosecutor on the case, Dana Berg (Zimmer) who has ties to his first ex-wife Maggie (Neve Campbell).

A colleague of Maggie’s from her days in the LA DA’s office, Dana is a relentless prosecutor who will let nothing stand in the way of a guilty verdict, a single-mindedness which has earned her the nickname “Death Row Dana.” A fierce and ruthless adversary who bends the rules to her advantage, she is the last person Mickey wants to find himself going up against in what will be the trial of his life.
The Lincoln Lawyer was created for television by David E. Kelley and developed for television by Ted Humphrey, with Season 4 echoing the setup of another recent Kelley book adaptation, Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent, in which the protagonist also had to go toe to toe with an overzealous prosecutor, defending himself for a murder he didn’t commit.
This marks a return to A+E Studios for Zimmer who starred on the studio’s Peabody Award-winning Lifetime series, UnReal. The role earned her an Emmy nomination and a Critics Choice Award. The cast of UnReal will reunite at ATX this year to mark the 10th anniversary of the show’s debut. Zimmer’s recent credits include the Amazon series Shelter, based on Harlan Coben’s book trilogy of the same name, ABC’s Big Sky, Peacock’s The Calling, and Freeform’s Good Trouble. She is repped by Innovative Artists and Sweeney Entertainment.
